Time to ditch your not so healthy Starbucks matcha latte!! It really isn't healthy at all. Even if you opt for the sugar free, or skinny version it turns out that the matcha powder used in any Starbucks green tea latte recipe is made up of 50% sugar.

If you aren't worried about empty calories, watching your weight, or you don’t care about gaining optimal nutrients, the Starbucks matcha latte is worth a try. But, if you’re drinking matcha for the health perks, or an antioxidant packed pick me up I'd suggest making my version at home instead.

This recipe is easily made hot, or cold.

1/2 Tbs Matcha Powder

1/2 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder * A sweet one works best

1/4 Cup Unsweetened Dairy Free Milk

1/2 Cup Water *Hot or Cold


-Toss it all in a blender & blend until frothy.

- If you are making a hot latte then you may need to pop it in the microwave for 15-20 seconds to make sure it's nice and hot.

-If you are making an iced one, add a few ice cubes & thats it!!
