Fat Burning Mocha Latte Truffles

Lately I cant stop adding a special ingredient to all my healthy treats, and desserts. I've was craving something rich, and chocolaty the other night and came up with this super easy recipe.


Recipe Makes 8-10 Truffles


Ingredients:

10 Soaked Pitted Dates/ or 10 Medjook Dates * Water drained if using soaked dates

1/2 TBS Ground Espresso Beans

2 Scoops Protein Powder Aura Clean Whey or Aura Plant Based

1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract

1 TBS Dark Chocolate Chips (Sugar Free If Possible)

2 TBS Cocoa Powder

4 TBS Aura Energy MCT

1/8 TSP Sea Salt

2-4TBS Unsweetened Dairy Free Milk or Water (only if needed, you most likely won’t need any additional liquid if using soaked dates)


Method:

1.Add Espresso Beans To Blender- Grind as fine as you can get them.

2.Melt Dark Chocolate Chips, & add to a food processor or high powered blender along with the dates, vanilla, cocoa, sea salt, protein powder, MCT.

3.Blend/Food Process until fully combined and you have a sticky yet dry dough. *Only add fair free milk/water if the mixture is too dry.

4. Remove from food processor and roll into 3/4 Inch diameter balls, or press into a plastic lined brownie pan if you prefer. * Tip if the dough is too soft to roll, try leaving the batter in the fridge or freezer for 15-20 min to firm up. You can also add a little more cocoa, or protein powder 1TBS at a time if too wet.

5. Optinal* Add 1 TBS Cocoa Powder to a plate and roll your date truffles in it to fully coat them. You can also roll them in coconut if you prefer , or leave them un coated.

6. Refrigerate in the fridge for 30 min.


You can also store these in the fridge, or freezer depending on how hard you like them.


Nutrition Tips* When it comes to treats like this keep in mind they are far more nutritious, and healthier for you than candy, and junk. BUT that doesn't mean you can go nuts with them, they do still pack a fair amount of natural sugar/carbs so I like to stick to 1 per serving. If you pair it with a home made healthy latte, or a tea latte made with collagen creamer, or some sugar free syrup and unsweetened dairy free milk you will be much more satisfied and avoid over eating.
